Out of home advertising is any another way to advertise that is directed to consumers outside their homes and offices. It does not comprises of print, broadcast or online advertising, which can be seen outside the house, but generally are more experienced in consumers' homes or offices. Out of home advertising aims to reach consumers while they are in motion, for example, traveling to work, while in transit, while waiting in line somewhere, and so on.

When consumers are in their homes or offices, they are normally dedicated to some type of activity. You can eat, sleep, read, etc. Even when watching TV, reading a magazine or consumer use of Internet is busy doing something. When traditional forms of advertising interrupt whatever it is that the consumer is engaged, consumers tend to feel upset and generally wants to return to the contents that were removed from.
